People in the Cedar Valley don’t wait for someone else to do it. They show up, roll up their sleeves, and make things happen. Sometimes with gloves on. Sometimes with snacks in hand.

You’ll find folks organizing park clean-ups, running local drives, mentoring students, or helping out behind the scenes at events. The Volunteer Center of Cedar Valley makes it easy to plug in, whether you’ve got ten hours a week or ten minutes and a good attitude.

And if you’re into greener living, you’re in good company. Farmers markets are a regular weekend stop. There are community gardens, bike trails, solar projects, and neighbors who know a thing or two about compost.
