The Cedar Valley is the 1st to implement Leader in Me regionally.
In addition to our great school districts, there is something else that impacts education in the Cedar Valley. Leader Valley is a talent development initiative in the Cedar Valley region. Leader Valley prepares Pre-K-12 students for life by providing them with the essential soft skills needed for a life of effectiveness and a competitive advantage in the workforce. We believe this is achieved through high levels of community collaboration. Through Leader Valley, strong partnerships among Cedar Valley businesses, Pre-K-12 Schools, and higher education are being fostered.
In cooperation with local businesses, Leader Valley provides financial and administrative support to The Leader in Me® schools in six school systems:
- Cedar Falls Community Schools
- Cedar Valley Catholic Schools
- Janesville Consolidated Schools
- St. Patrick’s School
- Waterloo Community Schools
- Waverly-Shell Rock Middle School
The Leader in Me is a FranklinCovey’s whole-school transformation process designed to teach leadership and life skills.
